At the take-in of jewelry items, a complete inventory is taken of the items for appraisal. You may wait depending upon the number of items.
During examination of the items we examine for condition, gemstone color, clarity, weight and measurements needed to complete the appraisal task.
Most gemstones are plotted, hallmarks and trademarks are noted to determine appropriate value.
All are prepared to the standards of the USPAP and the National Association of Jewelry Appraisers. We have state-of-the-art equipment to insure accurate gathering of information.
Once information is gathered we then research the appropraite markets to establish the valuation of the items.
If you have previous appraisals or major Laboratory Reports available, these may speed up the information gathering process. We will verify all information and determine if it is helpful in our opinion. |
